Honestly, I am not biased at all. This is THE best way to enjoy brown rice. I love brown rice. I could eat it every day. I absolutely love brown rice cooked in broth, but this is by far my absolutely favorite way to eat it. Plus, because the rice is soaked, it is better for you and yours. "Taste good. Is good." As Brian would say.

How to Cook Brown Rice the Right Way
You Will Need:
2 cups short-grain brown rice
4 cups warm water
1/4 cup yogurt
1 teaspoon sea salt
2-4 tablespoons butter
Soak rice in water/yogurt mixture overnight. Place in a large pot and cover. Bring to a boil. Skim. Reduce heat to lowest possible setting. Add salt and butter. Stir until melted. Cover and cook for approximately 45 minutes, or until water has evaporated. Serve warm. Enjoy!
It is SO good.
Yum! I will be trying this like, tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! How did it go?
DeleteDo you use plain yogurt?
ReplyDeleteYup. Plain, unsweetened yogurt.
DeleteNo lid during cooking? (Seems it would need more moisture if not.) Thanks
ReplyDeleteHey Julie!
DeleteYes. So sorry. Will correct that in the post. Put a lid on the rice when you cook it. <3 Thanks for pointing that out!
